1992 Acura NSX Barn Find Emerges with Only 2,000 Miles on the Clock

The broker lost all credibility when he claimed this to be the lowest mileage NSX in the US. It just shows how out of touch he is with the NSX market.

***STICKY*** Gen1 NSX Current Market Analysis

I see what you are seeing, and agree, that is weird. But in no world is a 95-96 targa worth more than a similar mileage 97-01 NA2 targa. My guess is that the data is skewed due to limited sales of 97-01 NA2 targas.

    Question about coolant hose.

I echo previous comments. Never in my life would I have imagined a coolant hose being so hard to install. Had to come back to it the next day after taking a breather.

    Looking for ECU chip(s)

I had a Dinan chip in mine. It is my understanding that the only changes were that they added 2.25 degrees of additional timing and raised the rev limit 400rpm.

    Best Currently Available Headers?

Ah okay, I missed the part about yours being the V2 headers, that makes more sense now. I think this will serve as some good info for future buyers. V1 Pride headers = good fitment, V2 Pride headers = fitment concerns

    Best Currently Available Headers?

As another data point, I installed the Pride headers, TPs, and V2 exhaust on my car earlier this year. Install was a piece of cake, and fitment was spot on, for me. No modifications to the crossmember or anything other items were required. Note: Headers and TPs were purchased new from Pride...

BC Racing Coilovers - Comprehensive Review

I got my BC BRs installed a couple months ago and finally got a chance to drive the car a little. The dampers are all set right in the middle. Even on the horrible Minnesota roads, the ride is awesome. Given the overwhelming support for KWs in the NSX community and somewhat mixed reviews for the...

    Manual transmission oil preferences?

I had a 2nd gear grind on my 91 so I tried the Synchromesh. Specifically the AC Delco synchromesh 10-4006 (2 qts) and AC Delco friction modifier 10-4014 (1 qt). The grind has not yet reappeared and there were no other noticeable changes in performance. Long term effects on the LSD are unknown...

Solved: Misfire, hesitating driving, stumbling idle, OBD 1303, new plugs & dirty fuel injectors cleaned

Is this the general consensus among other owners too? Should we be having our injectors serviced every X number of years/miles. I have 135k miles on my 32 year old injectors, and I am sure they have never been cleaned.

    Who Makes Stainless Clutch Line

I spent way too much time trying to figure this out, but I think I have a solution. I will be using an M12x1.0 female to 3AN Male fitting, found here: https://www.inlinetube.com/products/hlf10 And then a standard off the shelf SS line with female 3AN fittings on each end And finally SOS's...

    Who Makes Stainless Clutch Line

I think I found my problem. The SOS literature is incorrect. See line 3. This, to me, states that the 3AN fitting is installed in the adaptor, and i need to connect to the 1/8” NPT. That is backwards. I need to connect to the 3AN fitting. Should be a lot easier to find that line.

    Who Makes Stainless Clutch Line

Bumping an old thread here, sorry in advance! I have been racking my brain the last few days trying to figure this out. The previous owner of my car removed the clutch damper, brackets, and lines. The only thing I have left is a hard line at the fire wall (M12x1.0 male thread, I think), and...

    Deciding between coupe and T-top

Welcome! For me, I think it comes down to whether or not you would ever want the top off. Personally, I dislike convertibles and sunroofs, so I got a coupe. Also important to note, 91-94 NSXs only came as a coupe. 95-05s are almost all targas (with the exception of a handful of NA2 coupes which...

I need a little help with reverse lights

    What's your daily driver?

How many flat tires have you had? I have heard and read nothing but problems with the factory 20" wheels/tires. But perhaps, that has more to do with the type of driver that this car attracts? This is the only thing that has kept me away from these, otherwise amazing, cars.

Let's get a bit more active in here!

It is crazy to me that Facebook has replaced forums. FB is horrible to navigate and god forbid you ever want to search for something, good luck. FB marketplace is even worse. Defaulting all vehicles to auto transmission, minimum auto mileage of 300 miles, inability to search further than 500...

Hi all- I am bumping this old thread in lieu of starting a new one. Has anyone ever tried to dye red carpet to black? Or does anyone have a sense as to whether or not this would even work? Thanks!
